Lots of people search to understand what is soulmate love. In my experience, relationships are reflections of ourselves and they way we treat ourselves. If you are someone who is hard on yourself, negative, or a perfectionist, to name a few, you will attract someone who mirrors those things back to you.
Usually they do this by triggering you, specifically in those areas. If you are gentle, kind, positive, you’ll attract someone who reflects those qualities back to you.
If you’re looking for a relationship that reflects the latter, it’s imperative that you do your inner work so as to clear the path for a joy-filled, loving, easy relationship.
So what is soulmate love?
Soulmate love is when two people connect on the soul level. It is the purest form of a spiritual connection.
The best indicator of when you are connected to someone, or something, on the soul level is you’ll feel it in your gut. When you have that inexplicable knowing that something is right, or something is wrong.
A great way to test this is to think of an important decision you’ve made in the past.
What had you make the choice you made?
You may have gotten advice from friends and family about what to do, but ultimately, you had to listen to the part of you that knew what the right choice to make would be.
And, if you made the “wrong” choice, hopefully you acknowledged that you knew better, but did it anyway.
Soulmate love is like that. Having that inner knowing that this person is the perfect person for you, even if your mind tells you differently.
A perfect example of this is when Charlotte met Harry on “Sex and the City.” Initially, she was disgusted by him, yet there was something about him that she couldn’t resist.
When they had sex, she wanted it to only be a sexual relationship because it was the best she’d ever had.
Eventually, she couldn’t resist the gut feelings she had that he was the one for her. Their relationship was the healthiest, and most successful, of all the relationships that any of the characters had.
Now that you know what soulmate love is, here are 3 ways to find it:
1. Look for any ways that you might be negative about your soulmate.
When you think about meeting or being with your soulmate, what thoughts come up for you?
Are they thoughts of joy and ecstasy now that you’re finally together? Or, are they fears and doubts.
For many people, fears and doubts get triggered.
Unresolved issues can present themselves.
Negative self-talk can run rampantly through your mind.
Body aches and pains can spring up suddenly.
Being aware of them is the first step to healing. There are many different processes that you can do to work through them.
One is to scan your body for any unusual aches or pains. Sit somewhere quietly and close your eyes.
Connect to the different areas of your body. If you’re aware of something that feels out of balance inside, think of the person, place, or thing you love the most.
When you’ve connected to that loving, imagine yourself flooding that place in your body that feels off balance.
Do this as often as is necessary until you feel that area is in harmony with the rest of your body.
2. Connect with your soulmate on a daily basis
Imagine if your soulmate were here now. How would you feel? What would you be doing? What would your relationship look like?
Get a journal or notebook and list all of these things down.
Buy yourself some flowers. Every time you look at them, think of your soulmate. Imagine that he brought them to you on your first date.
If you’re hoping to get married to your soulmate, buy yourself a ring. Old Navy sells great, inexpensive rings. Some look like engagement rings.
Wear it anytime you feel comfortable to do so.
Look at it and think of the amazing man who bought this for you and the amazing life that you’re going to have together
3. Use positivity to align to your soulmate
Create a positive affirmation that you can recite often about the two of you coming together.
An example is:
My soulmate and I are on our way to each other now. Nothing can keep us from apart. We are made for each other. I release any negativity that I have about myself or my soulmate.
Create a list of your amazing qualities that you’ll bring to the relationship. Focus on how you’ll be an amazing soulmate for him. He’s looking for you, too.
In your journal, write down any positive feedback that you get from anyone throughout out the day. If a family member tells you they love you, write it down. If a cashier at the grocery store compliments your outfit, write it down. If a random guy on the street says “Hi!” write it down.
Stay focused on how you’re opening up to your soulmate, and the ways that your world is mirroring that back to you on a daily basis. Now that you have an answer to the question of what is soulmate love, it’s your job to go out and find it.
What I can tell you is that the journey to your soulmate is a process. But one that is worth the effort and when you’re with your beloved, it will bring you eternal joy!
