Everyone wants it … and you can have it, too.
Knowing how to find your soulmate can be far more difficult than anyone expects, as truly soul-connected love between kindred spirits often seems elusive in the modern world of dating and relationships.
Luckily, there are ways to make falling in love and identifying soulmates easier with the help of some simple mindfulness exercises and the power of positive thinking.
The first thing it’s important to understand is that your relationships are reflections of both who you are as a person and how you treat yourself.
If you are someone who is often hard on yourself, you are likely to attract someone who mirrors those things back to you. Likewise, if you are gentle, kind, and positive, you’ll attract someone who reflects those qualities instead.
It’s the Law of Attraction in action.
If you want to know how to find your soulmate, it’s imperative you do the inner work necessary to clear the path for a joyous, loving, and easy soulmate connection.
Soulmate love is when two people connect on the soul level as kindred spirits — the purest form of a spiritual connection.
And the best indicator of when you are connected to someone on the soul level is feeling it in your gut. You get that inexplicable knowing that something is right or something is wrong.
A great way to test this is to think of an important decision you’ve made in the past and what it was that triggered you to make that choice. You may have gotten advice from friends and family about what to do, but ultimately, you had to listen to the part of you that knew what the right choice to make would be. And, if you made the “wrong” choice, you acknowledged that you knew better, but did it anyway.
Soulmate love is like that. You have an inner knowing that this person is the perfect person for you, even if your mind tells you differently.
A perfect example of this is when Charlotte met Harry on Sex and the City.
Initially, she was disgusted by him, but there was something about him she couldn’t resist. Eventually, she couldn’t ignore her intuitive feeling that he was the one for her, and their relationship was the healthiest and most successful of all the relationships any of the characters on that show had.
To learn how to find your soulmate and connect as kindred spirits, here are 3 mindfulness exercises to help you focus on positive thinking, attracting a soul-level connection, and falling in love.
1. Identify your negative thought patterns.
When you think about meeting or being with your soulmate, what thoughts come up for you? Are they thoughts of joy and ecstasy because you’re finally together, or are they mostly fears and doubts?
For many people, fears and doubts get triggered. Unresolved issues can present themselves. Negative self-talk can run rampantly through your mind. As a result of your negative thinking, you might suddenly feel body aches and pain spring up.
Being aware of these is the first step to working through them and healing. One way is to scan your body for any unusual aches or pains. Sit somewhere quietly and close your eyes.
Connect to the different areas of your body. If you’re aware of something that feels out of balance inside, think of the person, place, or thing you love the most. When you’ve connected to that loving feeling, imagine yourself flooding that place in your body that feels off balance.
Do this as often as is necessary until you feel that area is in harmony with the rest of your body. This mindfulness practice will help you find a soulmate and attract a healthy relationship with your kindred spirit.
2. Visualize a life with your soulmate.
Imagine if your soulmate were here now. How would you feel? What would you be doing? What would your relationship look like? Get a journal or notebook and list all of these things down.
Buy yourself some flowers and every time you look at them, think of your soulmate. Imagine that he brought them to you on your first date.
If you’re hoping to get married to your soulmate, buy yourself a ring. Many stores sell great and inexpensive costume jewelry, including rings that look like engagement rings. Wear it anytime you feel comfortable doing so. Look at it and think of the amazing man who bought this for you and the amazing life that you’re going to have together.
3. Use positive thinking to align to your soulmate.
Create a positive affirmation that you can recite often about the two of you coming together.
For example: “My soulmate and I are on our way to each other now. Nothing can keep us from apart. We are made for each other. I release any negativity that I have about myself or my soulmate.
Create a list of your amazing qualities that you’ll bring to the relationship. Focus on how you’ll be an amazing soulmate for him. He’s looking for you, too.
In your journal, write down any positive feedback that you get from anyone throughout out the day. If a family member tells you they love you, write it down. If a cashier at the grocery store compliments your outfit, write it down. If a random guy on the street says “Hi!”, write it down.
Stay focused on how you’re opening yourself up to finding your soulmate through positive thinking and all the ways that your world is mirroring that back to you on a daily basis. The journey to finding your soulmate is a process, but it’ll be well worth the effort once you’re with your beloved.
